Apple’s iPad 3 expected to make its debut March 7

The wait may be over. Finally. Hopefully…
The Associated Press reports that a new version of the trend-setting iPad is expected to be introduced March 7.
On Tuesday, the tech company sent out coveted invitations to various media for an exclusive event to be held in San Francisco at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater.
It’s a noteworthy location because the venue is typically where Apple conducts their product launch announcements. Also, we’re nearing the anniversary of the iPad 2 announcement. The late Steve Jobs introduced the second-generation device to the world last year on March 2.
A photo in the e-mail invite featured a close-up photo of what is believed to be the next iPad and the words: “We have something you really have to see. And touch.”
Rumors have been swirling for months about what we can expect from the iPad 3. While Apple is mum, many are predicting a higher-resolution screen, updated operating system, quicker broadband speeds and the addition of ‘Siri,’ the voice-activated butler of sorts that answers your questions and commands. There are even some rumors of an “iPad Mini” to will aim to combat the gargantuan success of Amazon’s 7-inch Kindle Fire. Whatever the case, millions of techies will be paying attention on March 7.
