The show begins at 8 pm with the solo acoustic stylings of Sean Faust, followed by Kosmic Daydream who combines punk rock with psychedelic blues. Following them is Mercury Morning, a true alternative rock band. Headlining the concert is Emergency Now, a pop rock quartet who has opened for Eve 6 and the Ataris. In between sets and prior to the first act going on at 8, the crowd will be entertained by Music by Stoppay, an indie rock DJ and resident DJ at Loop Lounge in Clifton, NJ.
The opening act is Sean Faust, an awesome acoustic solo act. Sean describes himself as the following: Sincere, passionate, and humble. New Jersey song writer Sean Faust crafts songs that could easily be described as “mellow mellowness” and is inspired by all things music, regardless of genre. His song “Inside Again” was included on the June 2011 issue of Relix Magazine’s cd sampler, and his latest album “Something Real” will be released in Fall of 2011.
Following Sean is Kosmic Daydream. Founded in 2001, Kosmic Daydream has left an indelible mark on the NJ and NYC music scenes with their hard-boiled mixture of punk rock and psychedelic blues. Their high-energy, overdriven, drumstick-breaking and ear bleeding performances have occurred throughout the greater NYC-metro area, including such notable venues as CBGBs, Kenny’s Castaways, The Underscore, Otto’s Shrunken Head, Mexicali Live and Clash Bar. They’ve also received plenty of air play on local radio stations.
The third act is Mercury Morning. Described by Danielle Maginnis of h-Mag as a cross between Muse, Radiohead and the The Killers; they are influenced by classic rock, indie, and alternative music stylings. They have played Maxwell’s and Whiskey Bar inHobokenbefore and performed at multiple venues in NYC, including Webster Hall and Mercury Lounge.
Finally, the headlining act is Emergency Now, a local favorite. Matt Salem, Brian Sutich, Mike Lama and Mike Malkowski make up the pop-rock quartet, Emergency Now, residing in Hoboken,New Jersey. Emergency Now has opened for such headlining acts as Eve 6 and The Ataris. The band has also received airplay on The Howard Stern Show. Emergency Now recently released their first EP, A Room To Be Discovered, which is currently available on iTunes. Coinciding with the release, the band has been greatly involved in promoting and advertising on multiple social media sites.
